GENERAL INFORMATION
Nulex Chelate 10XL is a manufactured liquid zinc product designed for soil application with certain fertilizers. Nulex Chelate 10XL may be used as a ground application in water based sprays with adequate agitation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Nulex Chelate 10XL may be soil applied to most field and tree crops. Timing, rate, and placement are important for best results. Application rates vary depending on the crop and soil fertility level.
LIQUID FERTILIZER MIXING DIRECTIONS
Nulex Chelate 10 XL Fertilizer Mixes: Nulex Chelate 10XL may be mixed in any ratio with 28% or 32% nitrogen solutions. In polyphosphate fertilizer grades, such as 7-21-7, 10-34-0 or
11-37-0, the amount of Nulex Chelate 10XL should not exceed a 20-to-1, P2O5-to-zinc ratio. Mix for 15 minutes to ensure complete dispersion. Test for compatibility with specific pesticides. In starter applications, avoid contact with seed.
It is not recommended for Nulex Chelate 10XL to be mixed with orthophosphate liquid fertilizers.
Nulex Chelate 10XL disperses well with a minimum of agitation. For best results mix as follows:
- 1. Partially fill tank with fertilizer and start agitation
- 2. Add Nulex Chelate 10XL to circulating tank mix.
- 3. Add other pesticides or nutrients if compatible.
- 4. Fill tank and agitate thoroughly.
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
- Cotton: One to four quarts Nulex Chelate 10XL preplant soil applied.
- Rice: One to 2 gallons Nulex Chelate 10XL per acre in flood water.
- Corn: One pint to 1 quart Nulex Chelate 10XL applied in a band with liquid fertilizer at planting time or knifed in preplant or at sidedressing.
- Soybeans: One pint to 1 quart Nulex Chelate 10XL applied in a band off the seed at planting time or knifed in preplant or at sidedressing.
- Potatoes, Soil Applied: One to 2 quarts Nulex Chelate 10XL applied in a band off the seed at planting time or knifed in preplant or at sidedressing.
- Potatoes, Foliar Applied: One pint to 1 quart Nulex Chelate 10XL in at least 10 gallons of foliar spray containing a minimum of 3 gallons of ammonium polyphosphate per acre when vines are 4 to 6 inches tall.

Conditions to avoid: Excessive heat
Materials to avoid: Acids and strong oxidizers.
Materials of Decomposition: ammonia, oxides of zinc, unknown materials of partial combustion/decomposition.
Caution to welders: Do not cut, grind or drill on vessels containing this material. Vessels must be empty, clean and tested for explosivity prior to use.
Storage: Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from incompatible materials. Strong acids, aluminum, bronze, brass, copper alloys, buna N, natural rubber and polycarbonate are not compatible with this material.
Fire: Material will not burn as formulated.
In case of spill or leak: Contain spill and ventilate area. Absorb with clay, vermiculite, chemical boom, or pad. If clay is used, material may be applied as a fertilizer. If booms or pads are used, dispose of material in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
FIRST AID
- Eyes: May cause severe irritation or
corneal damage. Immediately flush eyes with large quantity of water for
15-30 minutes. Get medical attention immediately.
- Skin: May cause moderate skin
irritation, redness, or burning sensation. May aggravate pre-existing skin
conditions. Wash skin with soap and water for 15-30 minutes. Get medical
attention if symptoms persist. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
- Inhalation: Vapor or mist inhalation may
cause temporary bronchitis, pharyngitis, or edema. Move person to fresh air
and get medical attention if breathing is difficult. Pre-existing
respiratory disorders may be aggravated.
